  • Pevensey Bay is a fifteen minute walk from the house or a three minute drive, where you will find a number of restaurants and shops. The Ocean View Bakery is great for some fresh bread or a full english breakfast and you can pick up fish and chips from Rose’s Fish Bar.

In Eastbourne we’d recommend Nelson’s for brunch and excellent coffee, Cru for tapas and wine, Skylark for a nice evening meal and Fusciardi’s Ice Cream Parlour for a retro ice cream experience.

  • Of local interest is Pevensey Castle and the historic town of Battle. Drusillas Park and Knockholt Adventure Park are close by to keep the little ones busy.

Art and music at the De La Warr pavillion in Bexhill on Sea, Herstmonceux Castle has an observatory and science centre. Incredible views at Beachy Head and Birling Gap is excellent for rockpooling (don’t forget to check your tide times!).

Sovereign Harbour marina and retail park are close by where you can take a short boat trip and try to spot the resident seal.

In Eastbourne you will find the pier with amusements as well as crazy golf and children’s adventure parks.

  • The Kiosk is just a few doors down and incredibly stocked for a small local shop - including ice creams, buckets, spades, fishing nets and more!

Your nearest supermarkets are Asda and Sainsbury’s, both under a 10 minute drive away.

Ocado, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s also all deliver.
